Details
The Instruments, Pricing & Quant Analytics (IPQA) group is responsible for Bloomberg's foundational instrument management, data, pricing, risk and quantitative analytics capabilities that feed Bloomberg Terminal, Enterprise Data and Enterprise Products.
The Instruments & Analytics Platform team delivers core instrument management, lifecycle and scalable analytics supporting Bloomberg's cross-asset workflows. This role will lead IPQA's analytics architecture and drive model delivery at scale, ensuring analytics continue to evolve with client and market needs.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the analytics strategy in collaboration with quantitative, engineering and financial engineering teams.
- Advance the analytics architecture and model capabilities across asset classes.
- Translate client, sales and specialist partner needs into clear product direction.
- Lead complex, multi-workstream programs end to end across product, engineering, quantitative, model validation and QA teams.
- Gather, refine and translate internal and external stakeholder requirements into actionable product specifications.
- Lead the analytics roadmap and shape the continued evolution of analytics capabilities with engineering partners.
- Engage directly with clients by presenting the analytics vision, gathering requirements and supporting successful implementations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and market trends that affect client analytics needs.
- Advance a model-agnostic analytics framework based on shared calibrations, common numerical methods and uniform model settings across Bloomberg Terminal, Enterprise Data and Enterprise Products.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in financial technology, quantitative finance or a related field within a major financial institution or technology provider.
- Strong understanding of financial models and analytics, gained through a technical, front-office or product role.
- Experience driving large, complex initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to define and explain analytics architecture concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments across asset classes, including derivatives, fixed income and structured products.
- Awareness of the regulatory landscape and how evolving requirements shape client analytics needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with scalable analytics systems in large financial institutions or technology providers.
- Experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning in a quantitative, product or technology context.
- Direct client engagement experience through onboarding, implementation or advisory interactions with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading major regulatory programs, building systems from scratch or delivering large-scale initiatives across large organizations.
- Experience with payoff languages or domain-specific languages used in financial contract representation.
