SpaceXAI is seeking an AI Tutor - Pure Math Specialist to help advance its AI technologies through high-quality inputs, labels, and annotations using specialized software. The role involves collaborating with technical staff to train models on human interactions, problem-solving, and discussions; improve annotation tools; and select or create complex problems from advanced pure mathematics topics. Tasks may involve text, voice, and video data, including annotations, audio recordings, and video sessions.

Responsibilities

Use proprietary software applications to provide inputs and labels for defined projects.
Support the delivery of high-quality curated data.
Contribute to training new tasks and work with technical staff on the development and implementation of new technologies.
Help improve the design of efficient annotation tools.
Select problems from pure mathematics subdomains, such as abstract algebra, real and complex analysis, topology, and graph theory.
Provide detailed solutions and evaluate model responses.
Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on provided instructions.

Requirements

A Master's or PhD in Mathematics with a specialization in a pure mathematics subdomain, or a medal in the International Math Olympiad or a similar-level mathematics competition.
Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English.
Ability to navigate various information resources and databases.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong reading comprehension and the ability to exercise independent judgment with limited information.
Passion for technological advancement and innovation.

Preferred Skills And Experience

A PhD in Mathematics with a specialization in a pure mathematics subdomain.
Peer-reviewed pure mathematics publications in well-regarded journals.
Previous AI tutoring experience or experience teaching college courses.

Work Arrangement

Full-time, part-time, and contractor arrangements may be available depending on role requirements and candidate fit.
Contractor hours vary by project scope and availability. Projects may average at least 10 hours per week, although there is no fixed commitment. Contractors can set their own hours.
The role may be performed remotely worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific requirements.
US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois.
Personal devices must be a Chromebook, a Mac running macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.

Compensation And Benefits

US-based candidates: $45-$75 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
Compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.
Benefits vary by employment type, location, and jurisdiction. Eligible US-based positions may include health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave.
