Details
NVIDIA is seeking a creative, hands-on software engineer with a test-to-failure approach to build data-driven tools and reliable tests that improve software quality and accelerate delivery for GeForce products. The role involves developing software and hardware tests, using AI technologies to automate test cases, and working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated tests incorporating AI technologies for NVIDIA device driver software and SDKs across Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Develop automated end-to-end tests for NVIDIA device drivers and SDKs on Windows.
- Execute manual and automated tests, identify and report defects, measure code coverage, and drive code coverage improvements.
- Develop applications and tools that provide data-driven insights for development and test workflows.
- Build tools, utilities, and frameworks in Python, C, and C++ to automate and optimize GPU testing workflows.
- Write maintainable, reliable, and well-documented code.
- Debug issues and identify root causes.
- Provide peer code reviews covering performance, scalability, and correctness.
- Estimate and prioritize tasks to create realistic delivery schedules.
- Generate and test compatibility across a range of products and interfaces.
- Work with leadership to report progress through effective and impactful reports.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics Engineering with strong academic performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in Python, C, or C++, including object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience developing Python scripts using application development concepts such as dictionaries, tuples, regular expressions, and PIP.
- Experience using AI development tools to create test plans, develop test cases, and automate test cases.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and conducting performance and load testing.
- Experience with databases and storage technologies such as SQL and Elasticsearch.
- Good understanding of operating system fundamentals, PC hardware, and troubleshooting.
- Experience debugging issues with tools such as WinDBG and gdb.
- Working knowledge of GPU devices and technologies including DLSS, Frame Generation, Reflex, CUDA, and G-Sync.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple development teams to improve test code coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project experience building machine learning and deep learning applications.
- Good understanding of testing fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to isolate and regress issues.
Compensation And Benefits
- Base salary range for Level 3: USD 140,000–224,250 per year.
- Base salary range for Level 4: USD 168,000–270,250 per year.
- Compensation is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
- Eligible employees may receive equity and benefits.
