Anthropic is seeking a Research Product Manager for its Labs teams to develop new, moonshot products that advance transformative and safe AI. The Labs team focuses on 0-to-1 product development, transforming advanced research into innovative applications and defining new product categories enabled by AI.

Responsibilities

  • Work with researchers to understand emerging capabilities and their implications for users.
  • Identify nascent research capabilities that could become transformative products.
  • Build prototypes to validate ideas before committing resources.
  • Lead 0-to-1 product development from research and internal prototypes through shipped products.
  • Define product strategy for experimental initiatives beyond Anthropic's current offerings.
  • Build MVPs and prototypes to validate product-market fit efficiently.
  • Lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of frontier technologies using the latest AI capabilities to solve real-world problems.

Requirements

  • Deep technical background and experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams to ship technical products.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work across domains, and develop simple, understandable solutions.
  • Track record of launching ambitious products that achieved distribution or commercial success.
  • Ability to think creatively about the risks and benefits of new technologies.
  • Current, hands-on knowledge of emerging research and industry trends.
  • Experience prototyping with AI tools such as Claude Code.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of product management experience, including launching new products and scaling existing products. Founder experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a field relevant to the role.
