Details
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join its Firmware team, which develops networking features for AI, cloud, HPC, and storage applications. The role involves working on large-scale software projects and collaborating across hardware and firmware development teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with architecture and software and hardware design teams.
- Implement new features for NVIDIA NIC and switch firmware.
- Develop verification tests for advanced features in a complex firmware testing environment.
- Collaborate with chip design, board design, silicon, software, and program management teams to debug firmware and validation issues.
- Participate in early modeling and simulation for product development, including schematic and layout reviews for next-generation board designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 12 or more years of firmware experience.
- Strong C/C++ and object-oriented programming capabilities.
- Excellent data analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of digital design, computer architecture, Linux, drivers, and CPU, GPU, and SoC architecture.
- Familiarity with Linux scripting languages and hands-on Python experience.
- Motivation, independence, and strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding and automation skills using scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience with RISC-V architecture and verification.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with board bring-up, lab debugging, and tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
