Details

NVIDIA's accelerated computing technologies support computer graphics, high-performance computing, and AI across industries. Following its acquisition of Mellanox, NVIDIA develops end-to-end Ethernet and InfiniBand intelligent interconnect solutions for servers, storage, and hyper-converged infrastructure.

The NIC Firmware team develops networking features for cloud, high-performance computing, and storage environments. The role involves working with architecture and software design teams to develop and verify core Mellanox NIC firmware.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with architecture and different software design teams.
  • Implement new features in the core of Mellanox NIC firmware.
  • Develop verification tests for advanced features in a complex firmware testing environment.
  • Build a deep understanding of system debugging, networking technologies and stacks, and the hardware/firmware/software relationship.
  • Learn how a large software project is operated, maintained, qualified, and released, as well as how hardware and firmware are developed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols.
  • Experience with PCIe and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms fundamentals.
  • Scripting experience with Python and/or Bash.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep familiarity with RDMA stacks, including RoCE and InfiniBand, and low-latency networking.
  • Experience in high-performance or large-scale computing environments.
  • Proven experience with distributed systems and scalability challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3.
  • Base salary range of USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
  • Salary is determined by location, experience, and compensation for employees in similar positions.
