Details

The Engineering Chief Operating Officer (COO) Office identifies, evaluates, and addresses strategic challenges and operational risks affecting the Engineering department. The team directs department-wide programs, partners with Engineering leadership, establishes governance policies, and owns processes requiring collaboration across department boundaries.

The Senior Full-Stack Qlik Sense Cloud Engineer will architect, design, and scale the Engineering COO Qlik Applications portfolio. The role focuses on enhancing enterprise business intelligence through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing technologies to support executive decision-making. Working with Product Owners, the engineer will translate strategic business objectives into scalable technical architectures and full-stack solutions, covering enterprise data architecture and pipelines as well as executive-level analytical interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into intuitive applications that support data-driven decisions.
  • Engineer advanced Qlik Sense visualizations, including Set Analysis expressions, dynamic dimensions, bookmarkable states, and custom measures.
  • Architect scalable, access-controlled, normalized data architectures.
  • Write ETL load scripts connecting to SQL databases, data warehouses, and big data lakes.
  • Implement semantic data layers and medallionized data frameworks.
  • Use Qlik Cloud features including Qlik Answers, App Automations, Alerting, and Qlik Predict.
  • Design and maintain automated workflows using Qlik Application Automation and REST APIs for data reloads, write-back capabilities, and system integrations.
  • Support an MCP AI-enabled future.
  • Optimize memory footprints, script execution times, and data refresh cycles for large-scale applications.
  • Implement granular Row-Level Security using Section Access, data governance, and role-based user entitlement structures.
  • Map requirements to tasks and maintain predictable project schedules.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, architecting, and deploying Qlik Sense Enterprise or Qlik Cloud applications, ETL tools, and data pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of secure data handling, governance, lineage, and access controls.
  • Advanced SQL skills and dimensional data modeling expertise.
  • Experience creating complex ETL scripts and data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in advanced Set Analysis, UI/UX best practices, extensions and mashups, and Write Tables.
  • Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills for working with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Working familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience solving analytics challenges across multiple organizations, industries, or functions.
  • Knowledge of technology risk and operational resilience, including risk, controls, risk mitigation frameworks, and regulatory frameworks such as DORA, NIST, or ISO 27001.
  • Experience building analytics for issue tracking, audit findings, and remediation plans.
  • Exposure to Qlik Cloud features including Insight Advisor, Qlik Predict, Qlik Answers, MCP Connectors, and Extensions.
  • Exposure to BI environments such as Power BI, Tableau, and Superset.
  • Experience with enterprise database technologies such as Greenplum, Hive, and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Python for custom web development.
