Details

We are looking for a senior algorithm engineer/architect for autonomous vehicles to develop online mapping. In this role, you will help shape the future of autonomous driving solutions that enable vehicles to perceive the surrounding world and build a 3D model of the driving environment. The role focuses on sensor fusion, multi-view geometry, and embedded real-time software for navigation in unconstrained environments.

Responsibilities

  • Generate real-time 3D world models for planning by incorporating inputs from sensors and external sources.
  • Enable HD mapless driving in complex urban scenarios by creating enriched bird's-eye-view (BEV) models of the world.
  • Design and integrate algorithmic solutions into the core of NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform.
  • Write safe embedded software code for real-time systems.
  • Develop highly efficient product code in C++ and use algorithmic parallelism through GPGPU programming with CUDA.
  • Produce code and designs that follow automotive quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 6+ years of experience.
  • Software industry experience.
  • Strong C++ development skills.
  • Passion for robotics and autonomous vehicles.
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and tackle meaningful problems.
  • Outstanding communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Independent and analytical software engineering skills.
  • Experience developing software for embedded or automotive platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in 3D geometry, computer vision, or state estimation algorithms such as Kalman filters and particle filters.
  • Understanding of ADASISv2, crowdsourced maps, and geographic information systems (GIS).
  • Experience optimizing runtime performance using profilers.
  • Experience with CUDA parallel programming.

Benefits

The role includes eligibility for equity and employee benefits. NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive work environment.

Applications will be accepted at least until October 20, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
