NVIDIA is seeking exceptional security and privacy researchers to contribute to the development of secure, private, and safe AI systems. The role focuses on co-designing and co-optimizing all layers of AI systems to provide strong, verifiable protection while maximizing performance and energy efficiency.
Candidates should have a proven record of research excellence, a broad perspective on security and privacy across the full hardware and software stack, and depth in at least one area such as computer architecture, programming languages, software systems, applied cryptography, or AI/ML algorithms.

Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze potential vulnerabilities and risks in future AI and AI-based systems.
- Develop creative hardware, software, and algorithmic solutions to enable trustworthy AI systems with strong and verifiable security, privacy, and safety guarantees.
- Collaborate with teams across software, hardware, research, and product groups.
- Publish original research and speak at conferences and events.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in one or more of computer architecture, operating systems, programming languages and compilers, applied cryptography, or AI/ML.
- A strong publication, patent, and research collaboration history is a significant advantage.
- At least 4 years of relevant research and work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one security area, including applied cryptography, programming languages, software systems, AI/ML algorithms, or computer architecture, with the ability to become a go-to resource within a team with varied backgrounds.
- Experience with experimental research and development.
- Strong coding skills in C, C++, Python, and/or scripting languages.
- Strong communication skills; creative and dynamic presentation skills are an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range for Level 4: $192,000–$304,750 USD per year.
- Base salary range for Level 5: $224,000–$356,500 USD per year.
