SentinelOne is seeking a security pre-sales engineer to support Commercial Mid-Market prospects and customers across the North and Northeast territory. The role focuses on aligning customer goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings, including Endpoint Security (EDR), Gen AI Security, SIEM, and Threat Hunting solutions.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable presenting innovative technology to executives and security practitioners, and can help accelerate sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain their cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
  • Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning products against competing technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
  • Concise written and oral communication skills for leading business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-size and large customers.
  • Ability to provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle, initially supporting customers through implementation before transitioning to a predominantly pre-sales engineering role.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection-evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response is preferred.

This U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions that vary based on the candidate's location. The posted range is the on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and commissions. A different pay range may apply in some locations.
