Details
At NVIDIA, FlashDreams is a foundational platform for the next generation of interactive world models. The team works with interactive world model makers and early adopters—including autonomous vehicles, robotics, medical training, and gaming—to bring these technologies into production. This role sits at the intersection of research and systems engineering, turning new ideas into reliable, high-performance systems for developers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve production-quality systems for world models, simulation, rendering, and real-time inference from prototype through release.
- Connect generated worlds, reconstructed scenes, controllable simulation states, and evaluation loops into cohesive end-to-end systems.
- Improve performance, quality, scalability, and reliability on NVIDIA GPUs.
- Collaborate with research, simulation, rendering, robotics, and autonomous-vehicle teams to make technical tradeoffs and integrate capabilities into downstream workflows.
- Own complex modules or cross-team projects that shape technical direction and roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8 or more years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Experience in one or more relevant areas, including world models, generative video, diffusion or flow-matching models, neural rendering, simulation, robotics, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, or large-scale machine learning systems.
- Experience building and optimizing GPU-accelerated software with CUDA and modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Demonstrated engineering judgment and a record of turning technically complex prototypes into reliable products through thoughtful tradeoffs, testing, and delivery.
- Experience owning complex modules or cross-team projects and communicating clearly with partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building, adapting, evaluating, or deploying world models, video-generation systems, neural simulation, generative 3D, neural rendering, Gaussian splatting, NeRFs, or reconstruction.
- Experience with real-time or low-latency inference, distributed training or inference, performance profiling, GPU optimization, simulation, synthetic-data generation, robotics, autonomous vehicles, rendering, or digital-twin applications.
- Contributions to open-source machine learning, graphics, simulation, or developer platforms; publications, patents, or other demonstrated technical leadership in a relevant area.
Compensation And Benefits
- Base salary range: $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4.
- Base salary range: $224,000–$356,500 for Level 5.
- Eligibility for equity and benefits.
- Salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
