Details
NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Software Engineer to develop advanced computational methods for semiconductor manufacturing and design. The role involves creating strategy, driving industry-leading innovation, and working in lean teams to take solutions from invention through production. The position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Build advanced computational methods for semiconductor manufacturing and design.
- Exploit GPU capabilities to dramatically accelerate software solutions.
- Help accelerate semiconductor yield and time to market.
- Create strategy and drive industry-leading innovation from invention to production.
- Work collaboratively with technologists in a dynamic matrix environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of research or industry experience.
- Track record of innovation, such as inventing computer algorithms.
- Experience developing and delivering complex software solutions that enable or improve semiconductor fabrication and design.
- Experience scaling software to efficiently utilize millions of compute hours and process petabytes of data.
- Proven software development background in advanced computational methods for semiconductor manufacturing and design.
- Technical leadership or industry expertise in areas such as massively distributed computing, computational geometry, diffractive optics, or artificial intelligence.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, including the ability to guide and influence effectively in a dynamic matrix environment.

The base salary range is $152,000–$241,500 for Level 3 and $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4. Applications will be accepted at least until May 5, 2026.
