Details

NVIDIA is seeking a Systems and Software Engineer to build and operate reliable, large-scale infrastructure platform services. The role focuses on creating and supporting automation that manages infrastructure for EDA platforms running on NVIDIA hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and operate infrastructure services while managing the software life cycle to meet business goals.
  • Build and maintain automation to eliminate manual toil and scale output without proportionally increasing effort.
  • Participate in defining internal-facing service-level objectives and error budgets as part of the overall observability strategy.
  • Practice sustainable, blameless incident prevention and response while participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Consult with peer teams on systems design best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience coding in Python and/or Go. Candidates must be able to produce code without AI assistance during the interview process.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and distributed systems design.
  • Experience developing tools for operating large-scale private or public cloud systems in production.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems and containers.
  • A track record of initiating projects, gaining collaboration from others, and collaborating effectively on projects initiated by others.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, ownership, and drive.
  • Experience accelerating business impact using coding assistants, MCP servers, or AI agents.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking and storage technologies.
  • Experience orchestrating automated and manual processes using continuous integration and/or workflow engines.
  • Experience duplicating or emulating complex production infrastructure in staging or test environments.
  • Experience working with or developing bare-metal-as-a-service systems.
  • Experience working with or developing multi-cloud infrastructure services.
  • Experience operating private or public cloud systems based on Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, or Slurm.
  • Experience working with NVIDIA GPU-based systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary is determined by location, experience, and the compensation of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4 and USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
