Link’s foundation includes high-conversion merchant payments and a flexible digital wallet, and the team is expanding into AI-agent transactions, stablecoins, identity, and new ways for money to move.
What You’ll Do
As a Staff Designer on Link, you will lead the visual design direction for some of Link’s newest and most ambitious initiatives. You will define the appearance and feel of products, bring visual conviction to early-stage concepts, and shape Link’s consumer presence across Stripe Checkout, AI partner experiences, and Link’s own app. This role focuses on undefined problems and new product opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Define the visual design direction for new Link products and surfaces across mobile and web.
- Lead design exploration for early-stage, pre-roadmap opportunities from initial concept through launch.
- Build new visual languages, component patterns, and design systems for products that do not yet exist.
- Partner with brand designers to extend and evolve Link’s visual identity into new product categories.
- Shape early product strategy through design exploration and rapid prototyping, making abstract opportunities tangible for product and engineering partners.
- Represent Link’s design vision in senior reviews and establish the creative bar for new product areas.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience with a strong visual and mobile design foundation.
- A portfolio demonstrating clear 0-to-1 work and products taken from concept to launch, including work where you defined the visual language.
- Demonstrated ability to create cohesive, distinctive visual systems for new products from scratch.
- Deep fluency in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
- Experience working in high-ambiguity environments where you framed the problem before solving it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to design and prototype in code.
- Strong independence and the ability to advocate for a larger design vision with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to reduce complex problems to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use.
- Skill in explaining work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and incorporating feedback.
