Details
Anthropic's People Products team builds tools and workflows supporting the entire employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, teamwork, management effectiveness, and promotions. The role involves working directly with Claude and developing AI-native products for internal people processes in a fast-moving, low-structure environment.
Responsibilities
- Build full-stack, end-to-end products across the People Products portfolio.
- Design and implement AI-native workflows, including tools, evaluations, prompts, and products.
- Work directly with HR teams, recruiters, managers, and other internal stakeholders to understand problems, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
- Make independent product and architecture decisions, including decisions about scope, delivery, and when to seek input.
- Contribute ideas about team processes, product direction, and opportunities for applied AI in people workflows.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or product engineer.
- Track record of leading complex, multi-month projects or teams as a technical lead or equivalent.
- Experience shipping LLM-native features or applications.
- Ability to build large features independently and make sound architectural decisions.
- Ability to work end-to-end from idea to production without requiring a designer, product manager, or architect to unblock delivery.
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining a high quality bar and making effective tradeoffs under time pressure.
- Comfort working directly with users, receiving criticism, and incorporating feedback.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Mission-driven interest in the intersection of AI and people practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Experience building Claude or other LLM integrations in production.
- Background at an AI-native company or in a product-focused 0-to-1 engineering environment.
- Experience with HR technology platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, or Rippling.
Education
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. The required field of study should be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Compensation
Annual salary: $320,000-$405,000 USD.
Work Policy and Benefits
The role is remote-friendly but requires travel. Anthropic currently expects staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time, and some roles may require more office time. Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
