Details

Anthropic is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead enterprise-readiness programs across product surfaces. The role will focus on security and compliance controls, identity and access management, data governance, administrative controls, and cost and spend management for enterprise customers, particularly those in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, and the public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Run the planning and operating cadence for the foundational-capability roadmap across product surfaces, including clear DRIs, sequenced dependencies, and a single source of truth for product, engineering, and go-to-market leadership.
  • Drive high-priority foundational capability programs end to end, from scoping and tradeoff decisions through delivery across every surface.
  • Define the readiness bar for new products and features, including required controls before reaching enterprise customers and decisions regarding in-flight features with missing controls.
  • Work across teams and directly with customers by partnering with sales, customer success, solutions, and support on active deals and escalations.
  • Participate in customer security and compliance reviews and communicate enterprise blockers to product and engineering teams.
  • Translate customer and regulatory requirements into technical programs by working with legal, compliance, and go-to-market teams to prioritize enterprise requests and map them to dated roadmaps.

Sample Projects

  • Take a regulated customer's security control assessment from findings to closed gaps, with owners and dates across product, security, and infrastructure.
  • Establish a data residency program by gathering market requirements, defining support needed for each product surface, and sequencing work with infrastructure.
  • Build the operating model for co-building with a large enterprise design partner, including staffing, cadence, and roadmap intake.
  • Extend healthcare compliance coverage to new product surfaces with a practical customer migration path.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience.
  • A track record of building cross-functional programs from scratch in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience driving decisions among senior leaders with competing priorities and clearly communicating what is and is not ready for enterprise customers.
  • Experience driving adoption of platform or horizontal capabilities across product teams without a shared reporting line.
  • Understanding of enterprise requirements for scaled adoption, particularly in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and FedRAMP.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management concepts including SSO, SCIM, and RBAC.
  • Knowledge of data governance controls including retention, residency, customer-managed keys, audit logging, and spend controls.
  • Experience working directly with regulated customers on security reviews, questionnaires, audit findings, and contract redlines.
  • Understanding of how control design, evidence collection, and engineering delivery fit together.
  • Ability to operate effectively while the operating model is still being defined.

Additional Qualifications

  • End-to-end ownership of a HIPAA program at a software company, including BAAs, PHI handling, and product controls.
  • Experience working with financial services customers on data retention, data residency, encryption, regional hosting, customer-managed keys, contractual evidence, and attestations.
  • Experience running a design partnership or co-build with a large enterprise customer.
  • Experience using Claude or other LLM tooling to automate program tracking and reporting.

Education

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. The field of study should be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation
