Details

Anthropic is hiring a Technical Program Manager to own and expand the Life Sciences Verification Program (LSVP), which provides verified life science professionals with access to Claude under safeguards refined for biology-related work. This is a cross-organizational execution role spanning safeguards, platform, and product engineering teams. A life sciences background is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the program for expanding access to Anthropic's life sciences verification programs, including scoping, sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Scope and drive cross-organizational engineering work for each expansion, including new plan and account types and new platforms.
  • Partner with the product manager to convert program goals into sequenced plans with clear owners and dates.
  • Drive clarity on data access, retention, and review requirements and the resulting changes across safeguards, access, and provisioning.
  • Drive user experience scoping across Claude product surfaces where the program is available.
  • Identify and remove technical blockers that prevent eligible organizations from accessing life sciences capabilities.
  • Establish operating rhythms covering workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, status, planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination.
  • Convert recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes that reduce bespoke coordination for future expansions.

Requirements

  • Several years of technical program management experience with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Experience coordinating multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously, including safeguards, platform, and product partners.
  • Ability to engage meaningfully with engineers working on platform and access systems and product surfaces.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across distributed teams.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous and unstructured environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience with cloud or platform programs is preferred but not required.
  • Life sciences experience is not required; this is not a research role.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A field relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $290,000–$365,000 USD.
  • Hybrid work policy requiring staff to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
  • Visa sponsorship may be available, with immigration lawyer support.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office collaboration space.
