SpaceXAI is seeking an AI Tutor specialized in multilingual audio capabilities to help train and refine Grok for voice interactions, speech recognition, and auditory experiences across languages, accents, and cultural contexts. The role focuses on curating and annotating high-quality audio data, improving multilingual speech processing, and enabling natural spoken interactions.

Responsibilities

• Use proprietary software to provide labels, annotations, recordings, and other inputs for projects involving multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory elements.
• Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other written content from English into Azerbaijani, ensuring linguistic accuracy, natural phrasing, and cultural appropriateness.
• Support the delivery of curated audio data representing linguistic and prosodic details such as intonation, rhythm, and accent, while meeting professional audio standards.
• Collaborate with technical staff on tasks that improve AI handling of speech modulation, accent variation, noise in real-world recordings, and multilingual audio processing.
• Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools and audio workflows.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Azerbaijani, with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level, with clear, natural vocal delivery and pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception for identifying nuances in speech, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and audio quality.
• Experience handling multilingual audio content, evaluating speech accuracy, interpreting cultural vocal expressions, and understanding spoken context.
• Ability to transcribe audio accurately across different accents and audio-quality conditions.
• Ability to translate and localize text accurately between English and Azerbaijani while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Comfort providing high-quality voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
• Strong comprehension, independent judgment, communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Exceptional attention to linguistic nuance, auditory detail, and data quality.
• Advanced transcription and annotation practices, including handling disfluencies, accents, intonation, stress, rhythm, and emotion.
• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or training voice models.
• Experience with translation or localization workflows for software UI, product copy, or conversational AI text.
• Professional voice experience, such as voice acting, voice recording, podcasting with a measurable audience, or similar audio production.
• Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work is strongly preferred for advanced candidates.

Work Arrangement And Eligibility

• Roles may be full-time, part-time, or contractor positions depending on project needs and candidate fit.
• Contractor hours vary by project scope and availability. Contractors have flexibility to set their own hours; most projects may require at least 10 hours per week, but there is no fixed commitment.
• Roles may be performed remotely worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs.
• US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois.
• Personal devices must be a Chromebook, a Mac running macOS 11.0 or later, or a computer running Windows 10 or later.

Compensation And Benefits

• US-based candidates: $35-$45 per hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
