Analytics Engineer

Reddit is looking for a talented and driven individual to join its Analytics Engineering team within the Data Science organization. The role works closely with Data Scientists and Engineers across Consumer, Ads, and Marketing to curate, develop, and deploy data and analytics tooling that supports Reddit's products and provides a durable data foundation. The position sits at the intersection of Data Science and Data Engineering and requires experience in both areas.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data quality, performance, reliability, and automation initiatives.
• Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure the quality and reliability of data pipelines.
• Develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines.
• Create and manage data integrations across internal and external systems.
• Create and maintain internal tools and applications that streamline data analysis and reporting.
• Drive adoption of tools and applications with a focus on automation, consistency, and reliability.
• Advise Data Scientists, Engineering Managers, and leadership on data foundations.
• Communicate and help shape the data foundations roadmap and strategy for Reddit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a quantitative educational field.
• At least 3 years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems, including implementation, strategy, and maintenance.
• Experience building clean, maintainable code and systems in a production environment; Python is preferred.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, or similar technologies.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL and ELT concepts, and efficient data governance patterns.
• Experience manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with data workflows such as Airflow.
• Experience with data modeling and front-end or back-end engineering.
• Experience in data analysis and dashboard design.
• Deep understanding of technical and functional designs for relational and MPP databases.
• Proven track record of cross-functional execution and collaboration.
• Agentic AI-assisted development experience.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously as well as part of a team.

This remote position is based in the United States. The job posting may span more than one career level. The base salary range is $164,200–$229,990 USD. In select roles and locations, interviews may be recorded, transcribed, and summarized by artificial intelligence, with an option to opt out before scheduled interviews.
