About the Team

Link is a digital wallet designed for effortless and secure online payments and digital transactions. It works on any device or browser, is backed by high-security mechanisms, offers purchase protections on eligible items, and enables seamless payments.

Across the Link Engineering organization, the team builds payment experiences and systems spanning the entire stack, including front-end experiences, infrastructure supporting low-latency transactions, and intelligent systems that help protect consumers and merchants from bad actors.

Team matching for one of the subteams will begin during the final stages. Candidates may also be considered for different organizations based on their experience, location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

Build and design the next generation of Stripe products to meet the high-growth needs of the company and its customers.
Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Mentor engineers and help them grow.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to build large-scale features while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Collaborate effectively in a distributed and hybrid team while maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

2–10+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
Strong coding skills in any programming language.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across team workstreams and contribute to peers' success.
Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, along with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Interest in working as a backend specialist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and improve experiences for internal and external users.
