Details

Nebius is building a full-stack AI cloud platform supporting developers and enterprises from data and model training through production deployment. The role supports IT infrastructure in the company's Kansas City, Missouri data center, including an advanced H200 GPU cloud cluster. This is a shift-based, onsite position that may require occasional travel between data center locations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving IT hardware across compute, storage, and networking platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to address technical and operational challenges on the data center floor.
  • Install, upgrade, and decommission hardware based on operational requests, change requests, and project requirements.
  • Manage and maintain fiber optic cables, copper patch cords, and structured cabling according to Nebius standards and documentation.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance, break/fix activities, and routine deployments.
  • Support the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process through hardware identification, fault documentation, and coordination with the DC Diagnostic & RMA team.
  • Maintain documentation including hardware configurations, troubleshooting guides, maintenance logs, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with shift leads, infrastructure engineers, and data center management.
  • Participate in shift-level technical tasks and project execution as directed by the Senior or Lead Data Center Technician.
  • Monitor and report assigned work items, incidents, and hardware tasks through ticketing and operational systems.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving server hardware issues in a production or enterprise data center environment.
  • Solid understanding of data center operations, server architecture, and network equipment principles.
  • Basic proficiency with Linux and command-line tools for system identification, log review, and basic diagnostics.
  • Practical experience with server hardware, enterprise-grade network switches, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and productivity tools, including spreadsheets.
  • Proactive, responsible, and quality-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety and process adherence.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, typically four or more consecutive hours during active shift operations.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and heavier loads using team-lift protocols or mechanical aids.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, under raised floors, within rack enclosures, and in cable management pathways.
  • Comfort working in variable temperatures, including cold aisle containment zones and active cooling infrastructure.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small-form-factor components, precision cabling, and fine connector installations.
  • Visual acuity to read equipment labels, interface indicators, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to push or pull equipment carts, server sleds, and wheeled infrastructure weighing up to 500 pounds on level surfaces.
