Details

As the Developer Relations Manager for Claude Platform at Anthropic, you will lead the team responsible for how developers discover, onboard, build, and scale applications using the Claude Platform. You will help grow the developer ecosystem, gather feedback to inform product development, and promote responsible use of the platform and its APIs.

Responsibilities

Set the Vision and Drive Strategic Impact

Build and execute strategies for how developers discover and grow integrations on the Claude Platform.
Develop strategies for educational content that helps developers build high-quality integrations.
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to ensure developer feedback informs the roadmap.
Prioritize initiatives using data, feedback, and developer needs.

Build and Lead a World-Class Team

Define world-class developer relations for this quickly evolving field.
Recruit, inspire, and scale a high-impact developer relations team with global reach and representation across key markets.
Foster a collaborative culture aligned with Anthropic’s values.
Create scalable processes as the team and developer ecosystem expand.
Establish growth paths and development opportunities for team members.

Drive Cross-Functional Leadership

Advocate for Claude Platform developers and translate feedback into strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with Research to translate AI capabilities into accessible educational resources.
Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories.
Ensure developers adopt best practices for responsible AI use.

Requirements

Experience building and leading developer relations, developer experience, or technical product teams, with a record of measurably growing developer ecosystems.
Technical credibility and understanding of AI/ML and API concepts.
Ability to translate complex technical ideas for audiences ranging from individual developers to enterprise executives.
Hands-on technical ability to create code demos, review developer content, and provide specific technical feedback.
Understanding of developer psychology and behavior, including effective channels, product affinity, and education programs that drive adoption.
Passion for AI and commitment to responsible development, AI safety, and ethical considerations.
Collaborative leadership skills and the ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
Experience scaling teams in high-growth environments and adapting to changing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with AI developer platforms.
Public speaking experience at industry conferences and events.
Content creation experience, including technical writing and video tutorials.

Compensation and Logistics

Annual salary: $290,000–$435,000 USD.
Staff are currently expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to support visa applications, with assistance from an immigration lawyer.
