NVIDIA is seeking an experienced, deeply technical engineering manager to own and deliver an end-to-end OpenBMC-based manageability stack for next-generation data center compute systems. The role involves managing a distributed team of software engineers and delivering high-quality, reliable firmware for large-scale data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the OpenBMC-based manageability stack for next-generation data center compute systems.
  • Own firmware delivered to data centers, including quality, reliability, and telemetry performance.
  • Manage and lead a distributed team of software engineers delivering a high-quality firmware stack.
  • Work with data center architects and cloud customers to define requirements and implementation scope.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable manageability architecture for data center products.
  • Drive efficiency, reliability, and optimization in firmware architecture from a data center perspective.
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience working on server firmware, BMC, and platform software development.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a software or firmware engineering team.
  • Hands-on experience with data center health management workflows and a proven record of delivering server firmware for large data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of data center management, server architecture, and server manageability.
  • Strong and demonstrable programming and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python for server platforms.
  • Experience with source control management tools such as Git or Perforce.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong teamwork, good work ethic, and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Self-starter who is creative and autonomous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with BMC firmware and software stacks for data center health management and server manageability.
  • Proven experience as an engineering manager leading large, complex projects with teams of 25 or more engineers.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Level 3 base salary: USD 224,000–356,500 per year.
  • Level 4 base salary: USD 272,000–431,250 per year.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
