Details
Securing NVIDIA’s EDA clusters requires security controls designed for workloads that are large, long-running, and performance-sensitive. The Infrastructure Security Engineering team is responsible for implementing security controls across the compute, storage, and networking used for silicon design, spanning on-premises data centers and multi-cloud environments.
This engineering leadership role will translate enterprise security intent into controls that operate effectively at EDA scale without slowing chip design. The role involves building the team and the capabilities, determining where standard security tooling applies, and engineering alternatives where conventional approaches do not meet performance or operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of infrastructure security engineers, grow engineering leaders, and drive practical, production-proven results.
- Own the technical roadmap for EDA-specific security controls in partnership with security teams and infrastructure engineering.
- Use the network and platform as security control planes across compute, storage, and networking infrastructure.
- Determine where endpoint and workload security tooling fits and design alternatives for multi-day compute jobs where standard tooling could degrade performance.
- Drive consistent enforcement of security frameworks across on-premises data centers and multi-cloud platforms.
- Own the full lifecycle of core infrastructure security technologies, including selection, deployment, operation, and replacement.
- Build KPIs, instrumentation, and audit workflows that provide continuous visibility into security posture across EDA systems.
- Plan mitigations across network, storage, and compute infrastructure from an adversarial perspective.
- Embed automation and secure defaults into the infrastructure lifecycle.
Requirements
- 12+ years building and operating production infrastructure at scale across networking, compute clusters, and storage.
- 5+ years leading and managing engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
- Deep networking expertise applied to large compute environments.
- Hands-on experience operating compute fleets at scale, including provisioning, lifecycle management, and the operational realities of long-running, high-value jobs.
- Deep understanding of hyperscaler methodologies for operating large-scale systems with security and reliability as co-equal goals.
- Experience securing performance-sensitive or high-throughput environments where standard agent-based tooling was constrained.
- Extensive experience building and guiding engineering teams responsible for complex distributed or multi-cloud architectures.
- Ability to drive unified outcomes across organizational boundaries with partners who do not report to you.
- Exceptional communication skills with both individual engineers and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or operating infrastructure security capabilities at a hyperscaler or security product company, including engineering detection and enforcement systems.
- Experience with kernel- and fabric-level observability and enforcement, including eBPF, in-line and out-of-band inspection, and DPU/SmartNIC offload.
- Experience leading security or platform engineering in EDA, HPC, or large research-cluster environments.
- Breadth across IAM, EDR/XDR, CNAPP, CSPM, vulnerability lifecycle management, and zero-trust architectures, or a demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code.
- Familiarity translating SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements into technical controls.

The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is USD 272,000–431,250 for Level 4 and USD 320,000–488,750 for Level 5.
