Details

NVIDIA's Hardware IP Security team is seeking an engineer to help protect intellectual property from malicious and accidental misuse. The role focuses on enabling engineering teams to build secure-by-default workflows and environments, developing training materials, implementing security policies and methodologies, and investigating threats to the integrity of NVIDIA's security infrastructure.

This is a hands-on contributor role in an independent, fast-paced environment. The engineer will work across Security, Hardware Engineering, and IT teams to improve practices and policies while reducing the impact of security requirements on engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Help engineering teams build secure-by-default workflows and environments.
  • Craft security training materials.
  • Implement security policies and methodologies.
  • Investigate newly discovered threats to the integrity of NVIDIA's security infrastructure.
  • Understand security industry standards and enable others to follow them.
  • Define priorities, plan schedules, and build relationships with partner teams.
  • Improve existing security practices and policies.
  • Lead and support multifunctional security initiatives.
  • Present security risks to senior management and help prioritize mitigations.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A mentality focused on improving the productivity and work experience of internal customers.
  • Experience establishing and leading high-performing technical teams across hardware engineering and/or information security.
  • Experience driving multifunctional initiatives, mentoring engineers, and delivering secure, reliable systems from design through deployment.
  • Strong threat-modeling experience, including data flows, trust boundaries, STRIDE-style analysis, and translating findings into mitigations.
  • Ability to prioritize practical risk reduction in a fast-moving engineering environment.
  • Experience securing Linux-based on-premises or cloud infrastructure at scale, including authentication, authorization, hardening, patching, logging, and incident response.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a technical team lead bridging engineering, product, and customers, translating requirements into actionable plans and steering teams to successful outcomes.
  • Experience leading or mentoring an engineering support team, coaching technical and customer-facing skills, and driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience securing AI-assisted developer workflows, including connected command-line interfaces, agent permissions, prompt injection, data leakage, and autonomous execution controls.
  • Experience with security monitoring, audit logging, detection engineering, and suspicious-activity investigations.
  • Familiarity with EDA workflows, semiconductor design environments, or large-scale engineering and HPC environments.

Benefits

The role includes equity and benefits. Applications will be accepted at least until August 1, 2026. NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive work environment.
