This internship is part of the FINREP & Statistical Reporting team within the Finance function at ABN AMRO. The main focus is improving the quality of the regulatory reporting process by contributing to ongoing and planned internal initiatives. You will learn from professionals in a collaborative environment and work on dashboards and process-improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the quality of the regulatory reporting process.
  • Complete and contribute to ongoing and planned internal initiatives to reach internship goals.
  • Examples of initiatives previous interns have worked on:
    1. Heatmap - Creating a dashboard to get an overview of all reports within the team and improving related KPIs.
    2. Skills Matrix - Determining relevant skill tracks for all team members and facilitating their development.
    3. Manual Interferences - Developing a dashboard to track the degree of manual intervention in reports and brainstorming ways to reduce them.
    4. Stakeholder Satisfaction - Giving, receiving, and implementing feedback to improve relations with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings and visualisations to internal stakeholders, including Risk Management and business lines.

Requirements

  • You are a HBO or WO student in the Netherlands and registered at a Dutch college/university for the whole duration of the internship.
  • Affinity with Power BI or a similar data visualisation tool.
  • Available full-time (32 to 40 hours per week) for a minimum of 4 months and able to start as soon as possible.
  • Recommended skills and personal qualities (as described in the vacancy):
    • Analytical: well-developed analytical skills to deconstruct problems and reconsider solutions.
    • Communicative: able to convey information clearly, preferably with visualisation tools like Power BI.
    • Flexible, autonomous, proactive, detail-oriented, organised, team-player, results oriented.
