The role
Nebius Group is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the IP & IT Law team. The role is suited for candidates with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience in a legal firm or technology company and a strong interest in intellectual property and IT law.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal reviews of license and SaaS agreements, including corporate software and software integral to core products.
- Collaborate with local and commercial lawyers to review IP terms in various agreements (service and sales contracts).
- Manage IP outsourcing agreements with designers, photographers, and software developers, ensuring compliance and protection of Nebius' interests.
- Provide legal analysis and advice on a wide range of IP-related issues.
- Address open-source matters, from license analysis to compliance implementation, and advise business and engineering teams on best practices.
- Tackle other IP-related challenges as they arise and contribute to strategic goals.
Requirements
- A legal degree from a top-tier university in the EU or the US.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience with legal firms or technology companies.
- Proven experience with IP-related transactions, including software development commissioning, technology licensing, and trademark issues.
- Exceptional contract drafting and legal writing skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience advising engineering and business teams on IP and open-source/licensing matters.
Pay Transparency
Base compensation range: $170,700 — $213,300 USD (actual compensation determined by experience, skills, qualifications, level hired, and geographic location).
