Details

NVIDIA's HPC Compiler team is looking for a Compiler Engineering Manager to lead teams developing optimizing compilers for high-performance computing. The work supports GPU code generation for Python, C++, Fortran, OpenACC, and OpenMP, including compiling HPC applications, measuring performance, and improving execution speed and compiler development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of experienced compiler and performance engineers.
  • Establish team objectives to meet schedules and goals.
  • Mentor and advise employees to help develop the next generation of leaders.
  • Establish and evolve policies and procedures affecting the immediate organization.
  • Communicate team vision and development plans to senior management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, ECE, or equivalent experience; a master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • 10 or more years of overall experience as a software engineer, including at least 4 years of hands-on management experience.
  • Strong software design fundamentals and a deep understanding of compilers and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Contributions to LLVM or other open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with GPU code generation, OpenMP, and OpenACC standards.
  • Knowledge of compiler internals from the front end through the runtime environment.
