Details

NVIDIA is seeking strategic, ambitious, collaborative, and creative Ph.D. students for internships with its Computer Vision and Deep Learning teams. Interns will gain hands-on experience conducting research and helping address challenging problems in AI and accelerated computing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement novel computer vision and deep learning methods.
  • Collaborate with team members, other teams, and external researchers.
  • Transfer research to product groups to enable new products or product categories.
  • Deliver prototypes, patents, products, and/or original research publications.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a university Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field for the full duration of the internship.
  • Clearly indicate the anticipated graduation month and year on the resume or CV.
  • Strong research background with publications at top conferences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Depending on the internship, prior experience or knowledge may include Python, C++, CUDA, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Experience with large-scale model training is a plus.
  • Research experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • 3D vision and scene understanding, including optical flow/scene flow, SLAM, depth estimation, and digital twins
    • Human-centric vision, including human motion modeling, human avatar creation, and physics-based clothing, hair, and body simulation
    • Neural rendering and generative 3D, including diffusion models, world models, neural radiance fields (NeRFs), novel view synthesis, and 3D content creation
    • Model architectures and efficiency, including efficient deep learning, model pruning and compression, efficient vision transformers, and neural architecture search (NAS)
    • Multimodal and vision-language models
    • Synthetic data generation
    • Weather and atmospheric simulation
