Details

NVIDIA's Enterprise Network Architecture team is seeking an experienced network security professional. The role focuses on network security architecture, identity-driven access control, security product enablement at scale, network segmentation, Zero Trust, and emerging areas such as agentic AI workload isolation. Success requires strong documentation, architectural planning, configuration standards, problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of network security protocols, routing, switching, automation, and fundamental network theory.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement network protection frameworks, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and other security technologies.
  • Partner with Enterprise Security across IAM, network access control, NAC/802.1X, and Zero Trust identity- and posture-based policies.
  • Partner with Product Security to enable NVIDIA security products and tooling for internal customers at scale, including artifact and supply-chain scanning gates, access-control gateways, and endpoint and network detection tooling.
  • Design network-level isolation for autonomous and agentic AI workloads and multi-tenant environments with workloads operating at different trust levels.
  • Define trust-domain boundaries, segmentation models, and long-term architectures, including firewall-based isolation and DPU-based Zero Trust micro-segmentation.
  • Lead efforts to move internal office and lab networks from flat, implicitly trusted models toward explicit east-west segmentation using internal or collapsed firewalls, service-catalog-based access models, and dynamic Zero Trust controls.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend security solutions, products, and technologies.
  • Partner on and conduct security audits and penetration tests to assess network security and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Create and maintain security policies, procedures, network diagrams, and multifunctional feasibility reviews defining ownership boundaries among network, identity, platform, and application security teams.
  • Deliver guidelines, validated design standards, and direction on security standards, policies, and roadmaps such as Zero Trust.
  • Provide domain expertise, consultation, and critical issue support.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 12 years of experience building, managing, and supporting large-scale hybrid networks with a security foundation.
  • Experience developing automation technology with Python, Ruby, Go, or other infrastructure automation languages.
  • Advanced knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and encryption services and their role in improving network security.
  • Experience evaluating and testing vendor platforms and in-house network initiatives for security issues.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their security practices and services.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with identity/IAM and product security teams to turn security capabilities into organization-wide standards.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous emerging problem spaces, including securing AI agent platforms where standards and precedent are still developing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying ML/AI to security analysis, vulnerability assessment and detection, threat modeling, malware detection, binary analysis, network analytics, or related security research.
  • Experience working with heterogeneous security platforms and building them as code.
  • Experience driving organization-wide adoption of a security standard or enforcement gate.
  • Direct experience securing agentic AI or autonomous coding-agent infrastructure, including sandboxing, egress control, and trust-domain isolation.
  • Experience designing segmentation for large-scale flat corporate and campus networks using internal firewalls, VLANs/VRFs, and NAC, including obtaining multifunctional approval and operationalizing the design.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 196,000–310,500 for Level 5 and USD 240,000–379,500 for Level 6. Compensation is determined by location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
