NVIDIA is looking for a Performance Engineer to join the Developer and Performance Technology group and assist with Game Ready Technology production and characterization. The role involves working with teams across the Game Ready process to characterize and test the latest GeForce gaming technologies on current and future hardware. It requires scalable project management expertise, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize the performance and interoperability of the latest gaming technologies against production and future hardware.
  • Collaborate with internal driver, SDK, developer technology, and partner studio teams to ensure compatibility, stability, and performance.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on test suites, benchmarks, and automated validation tools used to assess performance, image quality, and stability.
  • Analyze performance regressions, graphical anomalies, and gameplay stability issues, and drive resolution with engineering teams.
  • Continuously improve test processes, tools, and methodologies to support faster and more reliable driver validation cycles.
  • Provide transparency into the status, dependencies, and targets of each new technology across teams within the GeForce business unit.

Requirements

  • Degree from a leading university in a field relevant to computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in production or project/program management of performance-critical productivity, creative, or gaming software.
  • Experience with benchmark methodology and reviewing PC hardware and games.
  • Experience balancing multiple projects with large, geographically distributed teams.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and methods.
  • Experience with executive reporting and effective internal communication.
  • Background handling technical customer relationships and effective customer communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with development toolchains and processes.
  • Experience with Game QA processes and workflows.
  • Experience with performance benchmarking and gameplay testing.
  • Experience with AI software development.
  • Variety and vision in project management methodologies and toolsets.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 136,000–212,750 for Level 3 and USD 168,000–270,250 for Level 4. Base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
