We are looking for a Principal Architect for SoC and system performance modelling.
The NVIDIA Architecture Modeling group is looking for architects and software developers to join various architecture efforts. In this position, you will work with other architects on modeling, analysis, and validation of chip and system architectures and features that advance performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Model and analyze SoC and systems algorithms and features.
- Work in a matrixed environment across different modeling teams to document, design, and develop tools for analysis and simulation.
- Validate and verify models.
- Familiarize yourself with the functional and performance models used at NVIDIA and assist with feature implementation as required.
- Develop tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure for new architectures and features.
- Perform code coverage analysis and reporting.
- Mentor early-career engineers and help sustain good coding practices.
- Learn about newer modeling techniques and frameworks, evaluate solutions, and work with your manager to drive improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 15+ years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree with 12+ years of experience, or a PhD with 7+ years of experience.
- Strong programming ability in C++ and C.
- Good understanding of build systems, including CMake and make; toolchains, including GCC and MSVC; and libraries such as STL and Boost.
- Computer architecture background with experience modeling using C++ and/or SystemC (TLM).
- Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Python, and Perl.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a distributed team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is USD 272,000–431,250 per year. Base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
