Details

Bloomberg is seeking a team leader to lead product management for the real-time news experience across its news product. The role focuses on alerting, monitoring, and time-critical information delivery, with an emphasis on speed, relevance, and reliability at scale. The product is being transformed toward an agentic AI-driven experience in which systems proactively surface, contextualize, and act on information.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of senior product managers responsible for real-time news capabilities.
Set product strategy and priorities for alerting, monitoring, and breaking news experiences.
Own the end-to-end real-time news experience, including latency, accuracy, and relevance.
Define the vision, roadmap, and execution for the transformation toward an agentic AI-driven model.
Drive the evolution from reactive consumption to proactive, system-driven information delivery.
Ensure product decisions reflect how users monitor and react to market-moving news.
Oversee alerting systems, including prioritization, deduplication, and personalization.
Improve signal-to-noise across high-volume, real-time information streams.
Define and scale monitoring experiences across markets, sectors, companies, and events.
Lead development of AI-driven capabilities, including summarization, contextualization, and intelligent alerting.
Partner with engineering and data teams to build and scale systems that process and extract signals from unstructured data such as text, transcripts, and documents.
Collaborate with UX and product teams to align on shared capabilities and drive consistency across products.
Establish and track KPIs related to performance, reliability, and user engagement.

Requirements

10+ years of product management experience.
Experience leading and developing teams of product managers.
Strong understanding of financial markets and market-moving information flows.
Experience working with unstructured data, including text, news, and documents, and related product use cases.
Experience delivering real-time, low-latency products such as alerts, notifications, and monitoring systems.
Experience building AI/ML-powered product features.
Demonstrated experience leading product transformation or large-scale platform evolution.
Strong track record of working with engineering, data, and UX teams.
Experience driving alignment across multiple product teams.
Technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, and data-driven products.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in news, financial data, or trading-related products is desirable.
Familiarity with NLP, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems is desirable.
Experience with alerting systems, personalization, or signal detection is desirable.
Experience working on high-reliability, time-sensitive products is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range is $180,000–$350,000 USD, plus benefits and bonus.
