Details
You will own product execution for Beeper's growth initiatives, working with leadership to understand user retention, blockers, and conversion to paid usage. The role requires strong analytical skills, including writing SQL, building dashboards, measuring product outcomes, and using data to drive decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own the product process for growth, including specifications, user stories, success criteria, and experiment tracking.
- Run experiments end to end, including hypothesis development, specification, instrumentation, launch, and results analysis.
- Build and maintain dashboards covering activation, retention, conversion, and engagement.
- Investigate changes in product metrics and determine causes and appropriate actions.
- Work with engineering and support teams to validate problems and assess whether shipped changes were effective.
- Maintain product documentation, including feature specifications, release notes, and internal reference documents.
Requirements
- Four to six years of experience in product management, growth, or a closely related role involving product execution ownership.
- Strong SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, cohort analysis, and funnel queries.
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse, dashboards, and recurring queries.
- Ability to write specifications for engineering teams and data summaries for leadership decision-making.
- Experience running experiments and distinguishing between shipping a feature and learning from it.
- Experience with experiment design and A/B testing frameworks is helpful.
- Experience with messaging, social, or consumer products is helpful.
- Familiarity with subscription or freemium business models is helpful.
- Understanding of basic statistical methods and the ability to evaluate whether results are meaningful rather than merely correlated.
- Comfort working with imperfect data and incomplete instrumentation.
- Experience working on a distributed team or at a startup is a bonus.
- Overlap with North American time zones, preferably Eastern Time, is important.
This is a mid-level individual contributor role with high-ownership expectations.
