Details

We are seeking a Senior Software Automation and Tools Development Engineer to join NVIDIA's GPU SWQA team. The role focuses on using AI technologies to automate test cases and QA workflows for device driver software and SDKs on Windows and Linux. Strong knowledge of system architecture, PC I/O architecture, and common bus interfaces is required, including PCI-E, USB, and SATA. Familiarity with general PC architecture specifications is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated tests incorporating AI technologies for NVIDIA device driver software and SDKs on Windows and Linux.
  • Build tools, utilities, and frameworks in Python or an equivalent language to automate and optimize GPU testing workflows.
  • Drive test automation initiatives through innovative approaches to expand software testing.
  • Develop and implement automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify and report defects, isolate and debug issues, determine root causes, and contribute to solutions through closure.
  • Measure code coverage for software under test, analyze results, and drive code coverage improvements.
  • Develop applications and tools that accelerate development and testing workflows.
  • Write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable, and well-documented code.
  • Generate and test compatibility across a range of products and interfaces using test matrices designed for breadth and depth.
  • Provide peer code reviews, including feedback on performance, scalability, and correctness.
  • Estimate and prioritize tasks to create realistic delivery schedules.
  • Work on challenging technical and process issues while collaborating with leadership to report progress and produce actionable reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, or equivalent experience, with strong academic performance.
  • At least 4 years of programming experience in Python or an equivalent language.
  • Experience applying object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Working experience with databases and storage technologies such as SQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Good understanding of operating system fundamentals and PC hardware fine-tuning across Linux, Unix, and Windows.
  • Experience using AI tools to automate test cases and end-to-end QA workflows.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to learn effectively.
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Substantial experience with AI-driven automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply logic when isolating and regressing issues.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment.
  • Development experience fixing regression bugs and implementing or enabling tests for CI/CD.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 140,000–224,250 for Level 3, or USD 168,000–270,250 for Level 4, depending on location, experience, and compensation for similar positions.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
