Details
NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicles Platform Team is developing and bringing NVIDIA's automotive platform to market. The role focuses on creating solutions for autonomous driving and integrating multiple vehicle subsystems into the NVIDIA DRIVE software platform while meeting NVIDIA and automotive standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and bring up next-generation autonomous vehicle hardware platforms and sensors, including cameras, radars, and lidars.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to bring up new hardware, debug and resolve in-vehicle system issues, and ensure NVIDIA hardware and software solutions are correctly integrated and operational on autonomous development vehicles.
- Engage directly with customer teams to customize, integrate, and productize DRIVE platforms.
- Drive the reliability of the software platform, including radar, lidar, camera sensor processing, and sensor fusion.
- Analyze complex technical issues across software and hardware domains and independently drive issue analysis and resolution across multiple teams.
- Work in an environment involving hypervisors, Linux, and QNX RTOS.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant software design and development experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving and strong time-management and task-prioritization abilities.
- Excellent C, C++, and Python programming skills.
- Experience with embedded systems involving Linux or RTOS, including exposure to bring-up and debugging of ARM-based SoC target hardware boards.
- Strong debugging skills from the application level through the kernel level, with the ability to work across software and hardware domains.
- Proficiency with software debugging tools, including software debuggers, analyzers, and trace loggers.
- Device driver knowledge is a major plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotic systems.
- Familiarity with POSIX, QNX RTOS, and associated development and debugging tools.
- Experience with CAN bus, radar, or lidar.
