Responsibilities
- Build, architect, develop, and debug critical firmware running in the GPU OOBHUB.
- Develop robust peripheral control and secure communication interfaces.
- Build and optimize high-reliability firmware update mechanisms and telemetry systems for next-generation GPU subsystems.
- Collaborate with hardware architects and ASIC designers to initiate new silicon and define firmware-hardware interfaces and communication protocols.
- Implement secure, modern firmware using high-reliability languages and principles.
- Partner with software, hardware, and infrastructure teams to transform new architectural features into production-ready firmware.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in low-level firmware development, embedded systems, or microcontroller programming.
- Strong background managing peripherals and communication stacks using industry-standard protocols such as SPI, I2C/I3C, PCIe, SMBus, MCTP, and PLDM.
- Expert-level C development skills in resource-constrained environments.
- Experience with RISC-V or similar embedded processor architectures.
- Deep understanding of software development processes and robust debugging methodologies.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate closely with hardware designers and diverse engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with or familiarity with Ada or SPARK for high-integrity or safety-critical software.
- Direct experience with RISC-V assembly, custom extensions, or low-level architectural optimizations.
- Knowledge of secure firmware updates, hardware roots of trust, or cryptographic hardware accelerators.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary of USD 152,000–241,500 per year.
- Equity and benefits.
- Applications will be accepted at least until August 14, 2026.
