The Corporate Technology Team is responsible for crafting, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s internal IT systems, including its global corporate network, hardware, software, and enterprise applications used by nearly 26,000 employees across more than 190 offices.

This role partners closely with the architecture team to deliver enterprise network solutions across a complex, high-performance environment. The engineer will bridge design and execution, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, operationally sound, and supportable at global scale. The role also provides technical leadership across campus and data center networking, next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, automation, and network security.

Responsibilities

  • Drive global SD-WAN deployments, WAN transformation initiatives, and site-provisioning automation.
  • Deploy and operate EVPN/VXLAN networks across data center and campus environments.
  • Support strategic programs including Zero Trust Networking, workplace agility, SaaS migration, and network automation.
  • Validate, refine, and operationalize network designs and security enforcement.
  • Improve existing network solutions to enhance scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead process improvements, automation strategy, and tooling for day-two operations.
  • Provide escalated troubleshooting support and act as a key technical resource during incidents.
  • Enhance network observability, monitoring, and SLA visibility across the environment.
  • Collaborate with network vendors to influence features, design decisions, and product direction where applicable.
  • Identify implementation gaps and proactively improve network designs for robustness and long-term scalability.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex network incidents and outages.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing network infrastructure in large-scale enterprise and data center environments.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale SD-WAN network design and implementation.
  • Experience with high-end Arista and Cisco switching platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with network segmentation, endpoint security including 802.1X, and firewalls such as Palo Alto and Check Point.
  • Proven experience operating and scaling EVPN/VXLAN environments in production, including deep understanding of control-plane EVPN and data-plane behavior.
  • Deep expertise in BGP, VPN, VRFs, QoS, and multicast.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows for network infrastructure, shifting from manual CLI configuration to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong foundation in network analysis and monitoring, including sniffers, Grafana, Splunk, telemetry, and modern observability tooling.
  • Curiosity, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to evolve and improve network solutions in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public and private cloud knowledge.
  • Experience with Versa Networks SD-WAN.
  • Exposure to Wi-Fi and load balancer technologies.
  • Service provider or MPLS experience.
  • Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification.
