Details

Product engineers at Langfuse deliver new features end-to-end, from understanding user problems and deciding what to build through shipping the solution, documentation, and public launch communications. The work is open source under the MIT license and involves working directly with developers building LLM applications.

Responsibilities

Own features end-to-end, including user research, specification, implementation, documentation, and changelog posts.
Work across the full stack, including React, Next.js, ClickHouse, Python and TypeScript SDKs, public documentation, and Terraform modules.
Build user-facing features such as analytics queries, SDK APIs, React views, agent trace interfaces, and data visualizations.
Talk to users through calls, community channels, and support requests to inform product decisions.
Write public documentation for owned features.
Ship and present features publicly during Launch Weeks.
Develop strong conviction about what to build and manage projects independently.

Requirements

Experience building features or entire products from scratch end-to-end.
Experience building and shipping user-facing products, ideally with TypeScript and React.
Exposure to data-intensive backends.
Strong product thinking and the ability to manage projects independently.
Care for developer experience, including API design, UI details, and clear documentation.
Interest in open source software and enthusiasm for discussing developers' problems.
Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team where work is visible and impactful.
A computer science or quantitative degree is preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or complex data visualizations.
Former founder or early-stage startup experience.
Contributions to popular open source projects.
Machine learning or artificial intelligence experience, or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem.

The salary range is €90,000–€160,000 and includes equity. Actual compensation depends on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
