Details
NVIDIA is seeking a passionate technologist with deep quantum computing domain expertise to help develop innovative technologies advancing fault-tolerant quantum computing for accelerated quantum supercomputers. The role focuses on technical pathfinding and collaboration with multifunctional teams across Product, Engineering, and Applied Research, as well as industry partners.
Responsibilities
- Path-find technical innovations in quantum error correction and fault tolerance with multifunctional teams.
- Develop novel approaches to decoding quantum error correction codes and their logical operations, including advanced hardware implementations.
- Research and co-design improved methods for achieving more scalable decoders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop technology components enabling a fault-tolerant software stack integrated with quantum hardware.
- Drive collaboration, rapid innovation, technical depth, and creative problem solving.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, a related engineering field, or equivalent experience; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Extensive background in Quantum Information Science.
- Six or more years of overall experience in the quantum computing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact value in quantum error correction and decoding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in scientific computing, high-performance computing, applied machine learning, or deep learning.
- Experience co-designing quantum error correction with quantum hardware or quantum applications.
- Experience with CUDA and NVIDIA GPUs.
- Passion for driving technology innovations into NVIDIA software and hardware products supporting quantum computing.
Benefits
The position offers a base salary range of USD 192,000–304,750, along with eligibility for equity and benefits.
