Details

Coinbase Corporate Security is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to build and maintain security controls that protect corporate infrastructure, user devices, enterprise applications, and network communications. The role partners closely with IT and engineering teams to identify risks and deliver tailored solutions that protect sensitive data and critical assets without introducing unnecessary friction.

Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Employees are expected to meet quarterly for in-person working sessions called “surges.”

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for macOS, Chromebook, and mobile endpoints, focusing on secure configurations, compliance, threat detection, and user experience.
Perform security reviews on enterprise systems and software supporting user productivity across the corporate environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate endpoint and SaaS security into broader corporate engineering initiatives.
Identify and close data exfiltration paths introduced by local AI agents and developer tooling, including coding assistants and LLM harnesses, running on corporate endpoints.
Provide technical guidance and code review support to CorpSec engineers, raising the security bar across the organization.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in security engineering, including at least 2 years securing macOS or similar user endpoints in an enterprise environment.
Proven ability to write production code, including services, integrations, and automations, supporting corporate infrastructure security.
Experience scoping, prioritizing, and shipping security projects end-to-end with minimal direction in fast-moving environments.
Familiarity with device trust, zero trust network access, or endpoint communication security products such as Cloudflare, Prisma Access, and Zscaler.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight while delivering business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary range: $186,065–$218,900 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
