NVIDIA is looking for a Software/CAD Tool Engineer to join its Circuits Solutions Group. The role focuses on building solutions that improve the productivity and efficiency of custom circuit designs, collaborating with multifunctional teams, and developing robust tools that have a direct impact across product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a multifunctional team on projects involving pre-silicon and post-silicon hardware design and related data.
  • Support applications including silicon data analysis, process variation analysis, VLSI design analysis, and timing analysis.
  • Apply software engineering practices to develop EDA/CAD tools for chip development.
  • Work closely with backend engineers to support existing development infrastructure and identify improvements and solutions.
  • Own the full lifecycle of tool development, including data storage design, user interface design, testing, development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members and other design automation teams to introduce state-of-the-art software solutions and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience.
  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages, including C++, Tcl, Python, or scripting languages such as Perl and Shell.
  • Experience with tool development, including GUI development, database management, testing, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with different AI models for code development and code reviews.
  • Familiarity with MCP, agent skills, agent orchestration, and spec-driven development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a quick learner who is proactive, innovative, highly motivated, and committed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of EDA tools such as ICC2, Design Compiler, PrimeTime, and Innovus.
  • Previous experience with VLSI, ASIC, EDA, or silicon data.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple levels, teams, and regions.
  • Effective interpersonal and technical presentation skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning, exploring new technologies, sharing insights with teammates, and applying new knowledge to improve team outcomes.
