Details
NVIDIA is looking for an experienced networking software engineer to join a team of Solution Engineers focused on Mellanox Networking, DGX Platforms, Container Orchestrators, Deep Learning containers, and other enterprise-related system software. The role is approximately 50% customer support for complex problems and 50% research and development work. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of datacenter and networking technologies and will provide comprehensive solutions for complex installations, maintenance, and operations involving leading-edge networking products.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of and drive customer issues involving Ethernet or InfiniBand network adapter and DPU deployments from inception to resolution.
- Develop features and tools as part of solution engineering efforts to support NVIDIA Enterprise Service offerings, including networking products.
- Work with NVIDIA Enterprise customers and internal users to improve the availability, reliability, and overall experience of NVIDIA Networking products.
- Apply independent analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills to customer experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to document, recreate, and solve issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of system software development and troubleshooting experience, ideally including customer-facing work.
- Experience developing with C/C++ in kernel space, application space, and/or embedded software.
- Strong understanding of GNU/Linux tools, utilities, the kernel, and networking stack.
- Strong understanding of Linux-based virtualization, including namespaces, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, flexibility, analytical ability, self-motivation, and team orientation.
- Professional-level communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for solving problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with InfiniBand networks, RDMA, RoCE, DPUs, DPDK, HPC applications such as MPI and UCX, and OVS.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and analyzing datacenter networking protocols and technologies, including LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.
- Ability to deeply analyze IP, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing protocols, including ARP, STP, LACP, MLAG, IGMP, PIM, BGP, and OSPF.
- Contributions to networking-related open-source projects.
Compensation
For Poland, the base salary range is 230,250 PLN–399,100 PLN for Level 4 and 281,250 PLN–487,500 PLN for Level 5. The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
