NVIDIA’s Hardware Infrastructure organization develops, deploys, and operates engineering infrastructure on large-scale, distributed cloud computing systems with thousands of heterogeneous servers and petabytes of high-performance shared storage. This role focuses on developing and deploying software storage management systems for NVIDIA’s worldwide design engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to define new features for distributed software storage systems.
  • Design and develop scalable, distributed storage management solutions using Perl and Python.
  • Work closely with team members and internal customers to optimize workflow efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive improvements to software design and testing processes to improve velocity and production quality.
  • Contribute to the overall quality of, and reduce time to market for, NVIDIA’s next-generation hardware products and technologies.

Requirements

  • Background in Linux software development, storage systems, and networked distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of storage concepts including volumes, snapshots, clones, and deduplication.
  • Ability to drive architectural design decisions using data and estimates while balancing cost, performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and customers to align on testing and adoption plans.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Development experience with Perl and Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree or preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background with NetApp systems and ASIC workflows.
  • Exposure to Cursor AI.
  • Experience with infrastructure software, production application development, release and support methodologies, and DevOps tools and practices.
  • Experience managing data centers and large-scale distributed computing and storage systems.
  • Track record of driving process improvements, measuring efficiency, and managing complex projects end to end.
