Details
NVIDIA's Solutions Engineering team is searching for engineers to help develop and bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform to the world. You will work on state-of-the-art technologies alongside experts in deep learning, computer vision, and vehicle control for NVIDIA's next-generation automotive products. These products use high-definition maps created by multiple industry-leading mapping companies worldwide.
The ideal candidate has expertise in embedded systems, a strong grasp of operating system principles, and the ability to engage with developers and partners on software design and solutions. This role involves working closely with external and internal software groups to design, develop, and implement software and systems that bring together diverse software components for automotive platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware teams, and architecture teams to design, develop, integrate, validate, and optimize software on NVIDIA's DRIVE self-driving platform.
- Engage directly with customers to provide technical support and productize NVIDIA DRIVE platforms.
- Work as part of an internationally distributed team across the United States, Europe, APAC, and India.
- Champion software solutions within NVIDIA's technical community and help productize them.
- Develop solutions to system software, operating system, and application software challenges involving DRIVE products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 4+ years of experience with system software and/or embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals.
- Proficiency in C or C++ programming, with strong debugging skills.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git and Perforce.
- Experience developing applications and/or system software drivers for hardware accelerators in BSP and HAL environments.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced development lifecycles and cross-functional organizations.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with platform bring-up and/or BSP software.
- Experience with QNX.
- Experience with ARM processors.
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes, including CMMI or ASPICE.
- Exposure to safety standards such as ISO 26262.
Compensation And Benefits
The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary ranges are $152,000–$241,500 for Level 3 and $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
