NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated technical engineer to join the Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) software organization. The role focuses on the ARM software ecosystem and system software architecture, with a targeted charter to enable best-in-class datacenter-scale performance and efficiency for next-generation datacenter products, including CPUs and CPU+GPU Superchips.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and optimize software for next-generation SoCs during both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
  • Review architectural performance bottlenecks for system-wide workloads.
  • Identify hardware/software policies to drive performance and performance-per-watt leadership.
  • Build and drive architecture and analysis documents and communicate technology to internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct competitive analysis comparing microarchitecture and workload performance metrics on NVIDIA ARM SoCs against emerging processors from other silicon vendors.
  • Influence and drive full-stack adoption of performance optimizations and standard methodologies across NVIDIA software products and open-source software development kits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant computer architecture or software development experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership of past projects.
  • Hands-on technical experience and demonstrated excellence in environments involving complex software and hardware designs.
  • Strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating system design, concurrency, virtual memory, caching, interrupts, device drivers, and real-time programming.
  • Strong skills in performance analysis, data analysis, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in ARM architecture and the ARM software ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, debugging, and tuning the performance of complex system software stacks.
  • Experience with CPU server workloads and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with CUDA programming and/or GPUs.
  • Experience with high-performance computing or large-scale computing environments.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
  • Base salary range of USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Full-time position.
  • Applications will be accepted at least until September 13, 2026.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive work environment.
