Details

We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Tegra system software group. The role involves developing and maintaining software for complex heterogeneous computing systems that power server products supporting AI, HPC, and accelerated computing workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tests and frameworks to efficiently validate and stress systems-on-chip (SoCs) and systems throughout the software development lifecycle, including user-space, kernel, firmware, and boot software.
  • Architect and drive diagnostic software solutions for all phases of the product lifecycle, including bring-up, manufacturing, hardware qualification, failure analysis, and custom platforms.
  • Improve the efficiency, robustness, and usability of software used for design validation, thermal and power characterization, manufacturing screening, and external customer bring-up.
  • Participate in debugging and root-cause analysis of complex board- and system-level failures.
  • Communicate effectively with teams throughout the company, as well as customers and partners.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of related industry experience.
  • Strong C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills.
  • Experience with low-level or driver-level programming.
  • Understanding of processor architecture fundamentals, preferably ARM.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals and solid understanding of ARM platforms.
  • Experience developing diagnostic software for datacenter and server systems.
  • Experience planning and executing pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up for complex SoCs and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies in a time-bound manner.
  • Experience working on large software projects and understanding of the software product release lifecycle.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
  • Base salary range of USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
