NVIDIA is looking for a hardworking Senior Systems Software Engineer to work on platform software based on open-source container runtimes and Kubernetes technologies. The role requires strong programming skills, a deep understanding of software design and development—especially with Rust and Go—experience with systems software and distributed systems, and excellent communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a small, dynamic team exploring innovative ways to make GPU-accelerated applications easier to develop, deploy, and monitor.
Enable GPUs as first-class resources in container orchestrators such as Kubernetes.
Contribute to cloud-native technologies that enable NVIDIA accelerators in Kubernetes environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams across NVIDIA to ensure software integrates seamlessly throughout the stack.
Multitask across different workstreams and efficiently address evolving priorities.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant work experience.
Expert-level knowledge of a systems programming language such as Go or Rust.
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Strong understanding of container orchestration systems, particularly Kubernetes, and container technologies.
Expert knowledge and experience working with system internals of Unix or Unix-like kernels such as Linux.
Strong background in cloud computing and distributed software design and development.
Understanding of performance, security, and reliability in complex distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience with Rust and Go.
Strong hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with Kata Containers and container sandboxing technologies.
Familiarity with attestation concepts and Key Broker Service.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, SR-IOV, and vGPU.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: USD 184,000–287,500 per year, determined by location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
Eligible for equity and benefits.
