Details

NVIDIA is seeking an innovative and highly motivated engineer with deep expertise in systems software to join its GPU Software team. In this role, you will help design and develop key components of production GPU kernel drivers and embedded software, shaping products used across datacenter and gaming markets.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and verify features for next-generation GPU driver architecture in close collaboration with hardware and software engineering teams.
  • Identify and solve performance bottlenecks in the driver across datacenter and gaming markets.
  • Help shape robust, scalable driver solutions for compute and graphics environments.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-impact GPU software solutions.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership of past projects.
  • Hands-on technical experience and demonstrated excellence in an environment with sophisticated software and hardware designs.
  • Exceptional C/C++ programming skills and low-level driver experience.
  • Background in complex system-level debugging.
  • Kernel experience with Linux, Android, Chrome, or Windows systems.
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals, including caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a maintainer or contributor to large open-source software projects.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, environment provisioning, and YAML-based pipeline configuration.
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as XenServer, KVM, and Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with kernel-level security concepts, including static code analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing, negative testing, and other testing techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 152,000–241,500 per year.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
