Details
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact strategic research and development initiatives in quantum computing. The role will lead NVIDIA's applied research roadmap, develop innovation roadmaps, and partner with engineering, applied research, product teams, and external collaborators to advance quantum computing for AI and accelerated computing and help bring useful fault-tolerant quantum computing closer to reality.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and lead multiple concurrent technical programs across NVIDIA's quantum computing portfolio, with an emphasis on applying accelerated computing to the field.
- Define execution plans and measurable outcomes from research and technology roadmaps, and drive work across teams to successful completion.
- Identify and prioritize critical activities required for research success and ensure they are completed.
- Develop a strong technical understanding of research and development priorities to enable successful collaborations and identify new opportunities.
- Solve and mitigate technical challenges while establishing early risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Serve as a link between research and engineering, moving new technologies from incubation to scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives, including multiple sophisticated programs concurrently and execution alongside research, engineering, and technical leadership.
- Demonstrated understanding of the quantum computing ecosystem and technologies, including hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts for a range of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree, such as an MS or PhD or equivalent, in quantum information science, physics, or a closely related field, or hands-on research or engineering experience within a quantum program.
- Experience translating research output into developed technology.
- Familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing, high-performance computing environments, or hybrid quantum-classical workflows and related tooling.
- Experience running joint technical programs with national laboratories, companies, universities, or research institutions.
